Aaron's Honey, 12oz
Aaron is a software engineer living in the Bay area who started beekeeping as a teenager after his father got fed up with how much time he spent playing video games! Now, Aaron counts 8–10 colonies per season in a friend’s Noe Valley garden, a project that grew into a part-time business called Urban Nectar. His honey is a scrumptious liquid, golden-colored honey. It has rich floral elements, which prevents this honey from being overly sweet. It is a true umami experience and has a distinctly earthy note with each spoonful. The flavor profile makes this honey an amazing companion when drizzled over yogurt, granola, and toast.
Alla's Honey, 12ozAlla, head beekeeper at The San Francisco Apiary, began producing honey because of her admiration for bees. “I’m obsessed with bees… my passion is raising queens. This is what I love.” As a bee enthusiast, Alla takes pride in the fact that her apiary does not use any chemical treatments. “I keep my bees clean,” she explains.San Francisco is home to 50 different species of Eucalyptus that blossom at different times for almost 10 months of the year. Because of this, her honey is very special — with a light amber color and a creamy texture — it is one of the most rich culinary experiences you'd ever had!
